Multi award winning Malbec from Cahors
Above is the picturesque area of Albas through which meanders the picturesque River Lot. Here lies the origins of Malbec, referred to as the black wine of France.
Cahors has a deep and rich history but seems to be one of the forgotten wine regions of France. Over shadowed by wines from Argentina and the USA the winemakers here have been battling to gain recognition for their award-winning wines. Nobody more so than Didier Pelvillain and his brothers who run the family business passed down from their father. |
The public image of Pelvillain Frères merges with those of two eminent vineyards of the Cahors area, Château de Cénac and Château du Port.
Pelvillain Frères thanks to the dynamism and the entrepreneurship of its manager and heartened by a legitimate ambition, is without doubt the up-and-coming Cahors wine specialist of the 21st century |
The dedicated search for quality has been rewarded - many medals and distinctions have been won in many prestigious wine competitions: Decanter, Mâcon, Toulouse and Blaye-Bourg.
Pelvillain Frères wines are regularly selected in first class French wines guides and magazines such as the Guide Hachette and the Guide des Vins de France. |
